When I was fourteen….

I installed 4-way racing restraints in my VW bug and made everyone buckle up every time.

I wanted to play ‘Let’s go’ by the Routers in a garage band.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGBOBt2Rd_w

I had it cold on my drums.   I just needed a garage band.  🙁

And I wanted to date this girl:  https://youtu.be/DaVY07-fJI0  I’d have loved to drive the Ford V8 that’s in the video, too.

The greatest dancer of the surf era was Candy Johnson.  And she was.  RIP Candy.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBPnihoZdR8&index=13&list=PL23D1751FA1EBBC17

I’m going to try and find the few remaining pictures of myself and my parents from ~1900 on and post them.  I don’t think I have any of us together.  I probably gave those to my daughter forty years ago in the time between meeting her when she was eighteen and disowing her.

But I might have a few left and there are a few here and there are some in the public domain. Newspaper pics (with the Manson Girls outside HOJJ); (in the Marine Corps and in Viet-Nam), and maybe a few as an LA Deputy Sheriff and afterward.  There might be a few recent ones as well.  Sure, no one cares, but it’s the only evidence that I ever lived.  Someday someone might wonder.
